Board of Trustees
Term 4, 15 December 2021
Kia ora Parents, Whānau and Families
First, we would like to thank all families for your support throughout this year. Your positivity, encouragement and commitment to our students and staff over what has been another challenging year, is much appreciated. A particular thanks goes to our volunteers who have given their time to helping with school activities; coaching sports teams, road patrol, PMP supervision, reading support — the list goes on!
We would also like to thank the Principal, Teachers and Support Staff, who have done an amazing job caring for and growing our children to be adventurous learners. We farewell Rhiann Baker, Room 3 Teacher, who leaves Paparangi at the end of this year and wish you well for your next teaching role.
Thanks must also go to the Home and School Committee, who, despite Covid-19 restrictions, have provided new and imaginative activities and events for tamariki. The Home and School Committee is a small group of dedicated parents and whānau who are always looking for extra support - if you’re keen to help out please contact Nicola Jones at paparangihomeandschool@gmail.com.

Board activities
Thank you to everyone who completed the Community Survey earlier this term. The Board is currently working through the feedback received to guide our planning for next year and beyond. Early in Term 1, 2022, we’ll be sending out the Health Education Survey and encourage you to share your ideas and opinions.
School ground improvements are underway, with the new signage and friendship bench now installed. More is planned for 2022—watch this space! We will be using a blend of fundraising and grant applications to assist with the cost of implementing the school playground improvements.
