KP Daily Bulletin - Stay Up To Date

This Bulletin provides students, parents/caregivers, and staff members with important happenings. There is information about a number of school activities.

Lead Learner Highlights

The weather this week has gotten colder but the spirit of KP has only grown warmer. Students, staff, and families are partnering together to adopt families, create gingerbread houses for senior citizen homes, and today our students wore PJs in honor of the patients at Hartford Children's Medical Center who are battling cancer and other serious illness. Thanks to the generosity of the KP Community, we raised $1,930.60. Last year we raised $1,006.75.

The winning Morning Advisory are as follows

1. Mrs. Paulus $104.00 who will receive a pizza party

2. Mrs. Isaacs $87.50 who will receive donuts

3. Pearson $82.00 who will receive popsicles

I want to thank students Rylie D. , Cayden G., and Sabria R. for continuing to head this effort and to parent Sasha Dagnall for counting so furiously today.

Fundraiser Items were delivered today

The school fall fundraiser items were delivered to the school this morning. If your child's box isn't large they took them home. We are happy to hold large orders in the office for your convenience. Freezer items will be held for parent/caregiver pickup unless you call the office and ask us to have your child bring them home. If there are any problems with your order please email so we can resolve the issue.

There's still time to shop at Barnes & Noble

If you missed Wednesday night's Barnes and Noble Bookfair then you should know that you can shop online until 12/12 and KP will benefit from your purchases. Just enter our ID 11912896 when you check out and KP will receive a portion of the sale!

THANK YOU for your continued support and have a great holiday!

Kim Vincent

What is the 12 Days Before Winter Break?

Last year the King Philip Admin team started the 12 Days Before Winter Break/Vacation as a way to celebrate our staff and have a little fun. We are doing this again this year, and I want to thank KP Families for joining the fun. Today, families brought in goodies for a delicious all staff breakfast. Thank you to Lisa Rich for coordinating the chefs and bakers and to the families who donated both the food and their time. Our staff loved it!

"Public Act 16-189

We believe that it is vital for all students in West Hartford Public Schools to be able to efficiently and effectively use digital tools that empower them in all phases of the learning process, including research, problem solving, content creation, communication, and collaboration. We also believe that we must be committed at all times to protecting students' privacy and providing them with a powerful and safe educational experience. To that end, the West Hartford Public Schools follow the legal requirements of Public Act 16-189 to promote the safety and security of all students and staff.

In compliance with Connecticut State Law, we update online programs used within the district that house student data. The programs may be used district-wide, in a very small number of classrooms, or with individual students. The list will be updated each time the district enters into a new contract where student data is housed. For more information on the specifics of Public Act 16-189 and updates of vendor agreements, visit"
