Lil Steamer Families –
Living in a small community certainly has its benefits. Today, I am grateful for Officer Grinch of the North Pole Police Department working with the Fulton PD to visit the Greatest Little Elementary School in the Universe!
Officer Grinch visited every classroom and provided staff with special gifts. In addition, the Fulton PD provided candy canes for all of our students!
It may not seem like much from the outside looking in, but if you could hear the gasps, excitement, cheers, and laughter of our Lil Steamers and staff during this experience, you would realize the joy it brought :)
As the holiday season approaches, remember that most times it is the little things that matter the most to children. Nobody knows your child(ren) better than you; make this holiday the best and most memorable one yet!
Happy Holidays, #SteamerNation!

Sending best wishes for a joyful holiday season. Merry Christmas to all families!
If your children get bored as they are away from school over the holidays, here are some ideas:
Prepare “Thank You” notes for gifts.
Write holiday stories or poems.
Have a Christmas movie marathon in their pajamas.
Make a blanket or box fort in the living room.
Read together.

Junior Achievement Volunteers are need at FES! Reach out if you or someone you know would be interested.
Junior Achievement needs volunteers for the Spring semester at FES.
Junior Achievement is looking for a volunteer to present the JA program to a classroom! JA provides all materials necessary along with outlined, easy-to-follow lesson plans. The volunteer presents on average, five, 45-minute lessons, but works directly with the classroom teacher to arrange a schedule. The program introduces students to many concepts dealing with the economy such as a free market economy and how pricing affects consumers’ buying decisions. Students learn that entrepreneurial thinking can spur new businesses and the opportunity for future income. Students also learn about career clusters and examine career groupings and the skills necessary for a variety of careers. Interested individuals can contact Monica at monica.telschow@ja.org.
You do not need to have a child in the classroom to be a volunteer.
The following teachers still need volunteers in their classrooms:

Help Support Our 3D Printing Lab
Throughout the last few years, FES has moved into the world of 3D printing. In the past, students have created animal, airplanes, and buildings to be 3D printed. 3D printed items have also become a unique part of our morning announcements as students may decorate the table on the screen as they see fit. This year, we implemented a house system into the greatest little elementary school in the universe which allows students to earn points based on their behavior. Students may then spend those earned points on a variety of prizes, such as a 3D printed item. Naturally, offering 3D printed prizes means we are printing a lot more and we are going through material faster. The button below is a link to an Amazon wishlist full of fun and creative filaments that we can use in our printers. When you purchase a roll on the list, it will ship straight to the school! You are not required to donate a roll, but any and all support is very much appreciated.
Thank you!!... And GOOO STEAMERS!!
