Animal Abuse
THERE'S NO EXCUSE FOR ANIMAL ABUSE
Did you know that there are 200 pets killed and maimed every day? Yes, innocent little puppies and adorable kittens being stabbed, starved, hanged, drowned, and even microwaved. "The HSUS estimates that nearly 1 million animals a year are abused or killed in connection with domestic violence" (Animal Cruelty Facts and Statistics, 2016).
Rescuing Riley
On June 10, 2010, there was a deserted dog found in a 350 foot deep slot canyon, on the verge of death. Somebody had left a puppy abandoned in the middle of the desert, with nothing. People can be cruel sometimes, and this is why there needs to be people in the world to save them and care for all of the abused animals.

Why we abuse animals
"We continue to treat animals poorly for our own entertainment," says experts Lori Marino and Michael Mountain (Why These Experts Think the Animal Rights Movement Is Failing, and Here’s How You can Help, 2015). They believe that the "human behavior is motivated by the fear of death," and "We consider animals something meant for our use" (Why These Experts Think the Animal Rights Movement Is Failing, and Here’s How You can Help, 2015).
