The basketball teams aren't the only ones hoping to defeat the Bucks today. HGHS Bowling will take on Buckhorn in an area match-up at Pin Palace at 4. Let's go, Trojans!
Wrestling Hosts Second Meet
HGHS Wrestling will host its second meet today with Columbia High School at 5. The meet will take place in the old gym. Admission is $5. We hope the Trojan Nation will come out and support our new wrestling program! Let's go, Trojans!
Reminder--Trojan Trail Closed Saturday
The Trojan Trail will be closed on Saturday, December 8, due to a private event. We are hosting the Awesome Possum Marathon Run.
Auburn's College of Engineering

Christmas Concerts: Save the date for HGHS Choral Department's Christmas Concerts! There will be two concerts performed this year on December 13th at Flint River Baptist Church. This is always such a great holiday treat!
Choral Department's Spillover Christmas Showcase: There will be another chance to hear Christmas music from the HGHS Choral Department on Tuesday, December 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Black Box.
Last Call for England & Scotland Trip: Attention World Travelers,

Reindeer Dash: HGHS is hosting our 3rd Annual Reindeer Dash with some awesome hardware on December 15th! Sock Sale to Benefit National Pediatric Cancer Foundation: HOSA is selling socks for $5. One dollar from each sale will be donated to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. See Mrs. Thomson or a HOSA member to purchase.
Soccer Fundraiser: The soccer team is selling clear bags that are size and style approved for Huntsville City Schools' sporting events. The clear tote bags are 12"x6"x12" and have the HG logo on them. They are $15 each and can be purchased through MySchoolFees. Students can also purchase them by seeing Coach Lilavois, Coach Balash, or Coach Williams.
Senior Ads: It's time to submit your senior ads for the yearbook! The deadline for submissions is February 14, 2019. Please click on the link below for details.

Prom Tickets: Prom Tickets are on sale for $60 each. See Mrs. Dean (C110) or Mrs. Bell (S137) to purchase.
College & Career
Attention, Senior Parents: If your student will be using a GI Bill or the Alabama GI Dependent Scholarship, please let Mrs. Jagielski know. If you have any questions please email her at jjagielski@madison.k12.al.us.
College Visits for Juniors & Seniors: Two college visits a year are excused but will count against you when it comes to your exams, so use your breaks wisely. Also, you must submit a prior permission absence request form before going on a visit.
Parent Meetings with College & Career Counselor: Parents of juniors and seniors are invited to sign up to meet with Mrs. Jagielski, College & Career Counselor. Dates and times have been added for December.
College Fee Waivers: Seniors who receive free or reduced lunch can receive a waiver for college applications. Most colleges will honor them. If you need one, see Mrs. Jagielski in the Guidance Office.

Revision to Pre-Approved Absence Policy- Students requesting pre-approved, excused absences will need to turn the form in to Mrs. Sharp at least 20 days before the planned absence. Forms can be found on the school website.
Procedure for Riding the Bus with a Friend - Any student who plans to ride home on a bus with a friend or to another address should follow the procedures below. No student will be allowed to ride to a different address without verification of parent/guardian approval by a school official.
1. A parent/guardian note should be turned in before first block to the receptionist desk at the back of school. The note should contain the address and information for the bus driver and should include the date and a correct phone number for verification purposes.
2. Pick up the verified note from the receptionist during lunch.
3. Give the note to the bus driver when entering the bus at the end of the school day.
Parenting Assistance Line: PAL is a service where anyone can call a toll free number 1-866-962-3030 and receive useful, practical information and assistance with developmental and parenting questions and concerns. Available 8:00am – 8:00pm (central time) Monday – Friday.
Recycle: Going green at “the Green”. The Hazel Green High School Special Education Department needs your old cell phones and ink cartridges. Items to be recycled can be given to a Special Education teacher or left for collection at the office. Your support of our recycling fundraiser is greatly appreciated.
Reward Cards: Parents/Students/Employees, please remember to use your reward cards when you visit Publix and Hazel Green Pharmacy. Every time you have them swipe your card, HGHS will receive a portion of the sale. If you need a reward card, just stop by the main office to pick one up.

Driver’s permit: Students /Parents, remember to pick up the Student Enrollment Form before you go to get your permit. The driver’s license department will not allow you to take the test unless you have this form and it cannot be faxed after you get there. These forms are good for 10 days only.
Loyalty Reward Tags: (Hazel Green Pharmacy Loyalty Key Tag Program) Parents/Students/Employees, please remember to use your loyalty key tag when you visit Hazel Green Pharmacy. Every time you purchase a Prescription/Gift/OTC have them swipe your tag. HGHS will receive a portion of the sale. If you need a loyalty key tag. Just stop by the main office to pick one up.
