Why Alzheimers?
I was interested in Alzheimer's because of my great grandpa had it and i never really understood it as a child and haven't known much about it. I feel the research will help me learn why he got it and how it works in the brain.

Alzheimer is a mental disorder to where the brain starts to degenerate in middle to old age. Also, it is the most common cause of premature senility.
Alzhiemers effect on the brain
- In the pre-stages of Alzheimer's basically shows that the patience is symptom free, but have toxic changes happening in the brain. Abnormal deposits of proteins form amyloid plaques and tau tangles throughout the brain.
- The cerebrum, cerebellum, and brain stem are three parts used in the brain.
- The plaques and Tangles are not necessarily failing but they cause the brain cells to die.
Important reaserch and experiments done.
In this experiment they had two groups of people with Alzheimer's and looked at what would be the effect if they took "Ginkgo". They studied the patients over a 52 week period. In this experiment they proved that Ginkgo was a safe pill to take to treat symptoms of the disease. On the chart it shows the symptoms over the weeks and between a placebo and Ginkgo.
