Hello Rose Pioneer Families!
Congratulations to Avery Audritsh on winning one of the two Dr. Legant Scholarships that were awarded this year. Avery will be attending the Meadow Brook writing camp at Oakland University this summer. The second Dr. Legant Scholarship went to Sylvia Strezlecki from Holly Elementary. She will be attending an art camp titled “More Art Please!” put on by Springfield Parks and Recreation. Congratulations Avery and Sylvia!
Rose Pioneer Elementary School is also proud to award the 2022/2023 Rose Pioneer Scholarship to Trinity Klempp in the amount of $500.00. Trinity is graduating from Holly High School this year and was awarded this scholarship last Friday based on her commitment to academics, leadership, and community service. The staff at Rose Pioneer raises the money for this scholarship each year through our “Casual for a Cause” casual dress days. Congratulations Trinity!
Congratulations to Abigail Davis who won the Rose Pioneer Yearbook front cover design contest! Congratulations also to Braela Grosser, Riley Polen, Raelyn Sands and Dakota Watters whose designs will be featured on the back cover of the yearbook this year. Take a look at their designs below!
Did you know that Holly High School has a Construction Trades Program? We do! This is the second year of our construction trades program and we had our first ever student team compete in the state MITES competition against the best high school construction teams in the state. On Saturday, Mr. Roper announced that our Broncho Building Trades Team are Champions! They won the state MITES competition! Congratulations to everyone involved in getting the program funded, running and highly successful so quickly!

The staff at Rose Pioneer is proud of all we've accomplished this year and we are sharing our Leader In Me survey to parents, students and staff members during the next two weeks. In these surveys, we appreciate everyone's feedback to help us plan for the upcoming school year. Our 3rd - 5th grade students will also be taking a short Leader In Me survey in classrooms over the next two weeks. LEADER IN ME Happenings!
Leader In Me - Habit 7 Sharpen the Saw
Habit 7 means that you will take care of yourself inside and out. You will eat right, exercise and get plenty of sleep. It also means that you will find a way to help others and spend time with your family and friends. Sharpening the Saw includes continuing to learn and try new things.
Sharpening the Saw is about having a balanced program for your life. This creates and maintains physical, social/emotional, and mental well-being. Without taking care of all three, you are out of balance and are unable to be your best self.
