NO SCHOOL TOMORROW

Reminder that there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow Friday, October 22nd. This is a school waiver day and teachers will be participating in professional development across our district.

SUPPORT FROM HOME

Squid Games is a popular TV drama show on Netflix. The content of this show is based on childhood games with a violent twist. One of the games they play is Red Light/Green Light. This sounds innocent- except in the Squid Game version you shoot and kill people. Families please talk with your children at home, and if they are aware or wanting to play this game discuss why it is not school or age appropriate.

Prior to talking with your children about Squid Game, or any show they are watching, you can use the following LINK: https://www.commonsensemedia.org/tv-reviews/squid-game. Common Sense Media is a great website to learn about a show and its content prior to viewing. Common Sense Media also suggests appropriate ages for watching shows and movies, for example Squid Game is suggested for viewers ages 16+.

REMEMBER TO VOTE

This time of year we like to remind all families to vote. All ballots are due for the current election on November 2nd. For more information about voter registration, ballot box locations, tracking ballots, and more visit the Snohomish County Elections website, LINK: https://snohomishcountywa.gov/224/Elections-Voter-Registration
