Jog-A-Thon
Wow! Our annual JogAThon Kick Off week has been amazing! We started with a fun assembly on Wednesday morning, and the kids' enthusiasm was electric. Our Tiger even swung by for a visit. Here's how things are looking so far (in just 3 days!!!!):
- Students and their teachers have been deciding their team names, and door decorating will start soon!
- We already have 239 students registered, and key chains have been passed out. A couple classes are so close to getting 100% registration and a free kids meal to Fusion Grill. You do not have to give any money to register, and I promise no spam, so if you haven't please register NOW so your student's class can reach their goal. Click HERE to register.
- We have donations from 23 states and are only 27 away from an all-school BBQ! Know anyone from Wyoming, Georgia or North Dakota that might be willing to donate?!
- 21 kids have already earned one of our brand-new Wildwood Water Bottle stickers!
- Talk of sliming teachers and Mr. Lynch have led 8 students to gathering more than $250
Jog is my favorite time of year. I love seeing the class spirit as classes compete to earn the most amount of donations each week, come up with creative ways to fundraise and encourage each other on! Please join in the fun and donate if you can - it takes a village for the PTA to be able to provide all the things we do to our amazing school!

Part-time Paid Job Opportunities at Wildwood
Substitute Campus Supervisors
We have a terrific campus supervision team at Wildwood, but we are currently in need of individuals who are willing to serve as substitutes for shifts on an as needed basis. We may have part-time positions with regular shifts available next school year, so this is a great way to get your feet wet and see if this work is a good fit for you. Contact Karen Meyer if interested.
Music Specialist for TK-3rd Grade
Wildwood currently has weekly music classes for grades 4 & 5, but we would like to extend services to all TK-3rd grade classes. If you or someone you know has experience providing learning experiences in music and/or the performing arts, please contact Mr. Lynch at klynch@conejousd.org.
P.E. Teacher for 2023-2024 School Year
Our beloved P.E. teachers, Robin Cookus and Tracy Rogers, will be hanging up their whistles at the end of this school year, so to maintain continuity with our program, we would like to bring on replacement P.E. teachers for the remainder of this school year to work alongside them and learn the program. If you or someone you know are interested in one of these 10-20 hour/week positions, or if you would like to begin with a 1-2 day/week shadow position for the remainder of this school year, please contact Mr. Lynch at klynch@conejousd.org.
School Attendance and Scheduling Vacation
Start building good attendance habits early on so children learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Attending school regularly improves academic performance and helps children feel better about school and themselves.
If your student will be absent, please call our office to report the absence. Students are marked “truant” when we don’t hear from a parent on each day of an unreported absence.
Please avoid scheduling vacation when school is in session.
