Feature Story: Scholastic Book Fair a Success
The annual Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success. The book fair sales Provided the school library $1,608.61. The money will be used to purchase new books for the LMC and to fund additional maker space items in the library. It will also be used to support library programming, like author visits.
In addition to this, the book fair helped to fill our elementary classrooms with 58 new books. Special thanks to goes out to all of the parents and community members who donated books for our students to read.
Principal's Pride
I would like to acknowledge Blake Klempka for his helpfulness at arrival time. On his own accord, Blake held the door open for students as they were hurrying to get out of the rain at the start of school. The small things that we do for one another make such a huge difference in the culture of our building! Thank you Blake!!
School News
Thanks Families for Cooperating with Student Safety at Departure Time!!!
We would like to thank all of our families for helping us maintain order and safety during arrival and departure times! We have been noticing fewer and fewer last minute requests for student pick ups. This allows us to confidently know each student is where they need to be and to get our buses on the road in a timely manner. We look forward to your continued help by continuing to call the office before 3:00 pm if you need to do an unscheduled student pick up. Thank you!!
Reminder:
For students who currently use busing calendars, please remember to provide the Elementary School with your calendars in advance of the next month. Thank you for helping us make sure your child’s bus ride is a safe and happy one.

We raised $1,095 for the Backpack Buddy program. We couldn’t have done this without all of the support or our staff, the Lions Club, the Elementary Student Council, and High School Student Council. 100 Bee Ticket Celebration
Mrs. Lien's first grade students are excited to earn a dance party!
They have been learning about writing letters and felt that writing a letter to thank Mrs. Goettl was an appropriate way to communicate their excitement for the upcoming Dance Party. The elementary had a challenge that when each classroom earned 100 total bee tickets we would have a whole school celebration. We are only a few classrooms away from our dance party. Way to go Cadott Elementary students!
3rd Grade Finishes Then and Now Project
For the past three weeks the third graders have been hard at work with their schools then and now project. Each student was in charge of doing research on a particular topic and write a compare and contrast paragraph on their findings. The third graders were then asked to work in groups to present their research to the first graders. The students did a very nice job and have proved that they are extraordinary researchers! Great job third graders!
5th Grade Culture Unit
Destination Imagination
Help is needed to manage a Destination Imagination team of up to 7 students at the 4th, 5th or 6th grade level. Destination Imagination is an extracurricular learning program that encourages students to have fun, focus and frame challenges while incorporating STEM(science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) the arts, and service learning. Participants build on their strengths while learning patience, flexibility, persistence, respect for others and their ideas, and general team-building skills. Teams present their solutions at a tournament. The season typically goes from December through mid-April. Teams meet once a week up until tournament time, in which they need to meet more frequently.
Our district has always had one elementary level team, and we were recently able to have a middle level team for one year. It would be great to be able to have a middle level team again this year, which would consist of six or seven 6th graders.

Pace would like you all to know the school store.com information packet is not a fundraiser, it is just another way to help our school receive money back. Similar to target red card and box tops, it is ongoing. If you shop online this is a great thing for you, if not that's ok. Thanks for taking a look at it.

6th Graders Interested in Junior High Wrestling
Dear Parents or Guardians,
Wrestling season is upon us once again. The coaching staff is looking forward to another successful season of Cadott wrestling. I would like to invite your child to participate in junior high wrestling. Practice starts on November 16th at 3:30. In order for students to participate they will need to have a physical, signed athletic code, signed W.I.A.A. form, signed Concussion form and a concussion impact test. These materials can be picked up in the high school office and returned back to the high school office.
Wrestling practices are held from 3:30-5:30 in the high school wrestling room.
Singlets, jump ropes, and head gear are provided by the school. Wrestling shoes can be purchased at Rogans, Scheels, or online. I do have some shoes wrestlers can use, but cannot guarantee I have the correct size. Wrestlers can start the season with regular gym shoes, if needed.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. I would love to talk to you about wrestling and the benefits of the sport.

What Is Love and Logic All About?
The Love and Logic Institute is dedicated to making parenting and teaching fun and rewarding, instead of stressful and chaotic. We provide practical tools and techniques that help adults achieve respectful, healthy relationships with their children. All of our work is based on a psychologically sound parenting and teaching philosophy called Love and Logic.
What Is Love and Logic?
Children learn the best lessons when they're given a task and allowed to make their own choices (and fail) when the cost of failure is still small. Children's failures must be coupled with love and empathy from their parents and teachers.
This practical and straightforward philosophy is backed with 30 years of experience. Parents can apply it immediately to a wide range of situations instead of struggling with difficult counseling procedures
Why Does It Work?
Uses humor, hope, and empathy to build up the adult/child relationship
Emphasizes respect and dignity for both children and adults
Provides real limits in a loving way
Teaches consequences and healthy decision-making
