Important Dates

February 16, 2021-- Deadline to apply for a transfer to a High School that your student is not zoned to attend. This includes Magnet Programs and CTE programs that are not offered at your student's zoned High School.


February 22, 2021--Middle School Teacher recommendations for content courses (Math, Science, English, and Social Studies) will be posted and viewable in ASPEN.


February 22-23, 2021--In-class lesson to teach students how they will register for their High School elective courses in ASPEN.


February 25, 2021--Fulton High School Counselors come to Whittle Springs to facilitate registration for in-person learners for elective courses. **Virtual student registration will also be offered and those dates and details are still being planned. More information to come!


March 3, 2021 --Central High School Counselors come to Whittle Springs to facilitate registration for elective courses for rising 9th grade Bobcats. **Virtual students zoned for Central will be sent a link to attend virtually on this day.


March 10, 2021-- Austin East High School Counselors come to Whittle Springs to facilitate registration for elective courses for rising 9th grade Roadrunners. **Virtual students zoned for Austin East will be sent a link to attend virtually on this day.

How can I find out what elective classes my student has to chose from?

Fulton's elective course descriptions can be found HERE.

Central course list for rising 9th graders can be found HERE.


What courses can my child choose from if they are not attending Fulton?

I will continually update WSMS Student Services Canvas page as I receive course information from other high schools. You can view all Rising 9th Grade Registration info on WSMS Student Services Canvas page which your student can view.


Should I double check where my student is zoned to go to High School?

Yes! You must use the address that is saved in ASPEN. If this is not your current address see the next question.


What if my address is incorrect in ASPEN which impacts where my student is zoned for High School?

You will need to bring new proof of address to the school so that the address can be changed. Call the school to be sure you are bringing a valid proof of address.


What if I want my student to attend a High School they are currently not zoned for, a Magnet Program, or CTE program not offered at my student's zoned High School?

February 16, 2021 is the transfer application deadline. If you or your student is interested in applying for a transfer to a High School other than the one they are zoned to attend, you must fill out the online application HERE.


How can I see what courses my student's content teacher recommended?

After February 22, 2021, you can view these recommendations in ASPEN. Your student has the ability to log in and view these as well.
