Causes of the American Revolution
See the events that led to this historical battle.
Background
During this period of time, political and economic factors ultimately led to the American Revolution. The French and Indian War caused The British Parliament to accumulate debt over land in the Ohio Valley. As a result, England believed the colonists should pay for this massive debt. With more control from the English government, colonists believed that they had rights to create their own taxes. This in turn created friction between the colonists and the British Parliament.
