Charles E. Shea High School Graduates its 72nd Class

Roberts Auditorium at Rhode Island College was the venue for Shea's 72th Commencement on June 13th. 196 students walked across the stage to receive their diplomas.

The evening included comments from Mrs. Deborah Cylke, Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Michael Arujo, School Committee Member, Mrs. Lori Grebien, wife of Mayor Donald Grebien and Mr. Donald Miller, Shea Principal. In addition, Christian Souza, Class Salutatorian and Kevin Argueta, Class Valedictorian spoke to family, friends and classmates. Seth Larbi, Class President, who also spoke, excited the crowd with his famous, "RAIDERS!" to which the audience responded, "WHAT?"

In addition, Dr John Bradley spoke to the graduates about his road to success. He is a graduate of Shea High School and uncle of graduates Morgan Horne and Dylan Bishop. Dr. Bradley is a Colonel in the US Army, served as the Director of Psychiatry at Walter-Reed Army Medical Center and is now a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical Center in Boston and Director of Psychiatry at the Veteran's Medical Center in Boston.

Mrs. Grainne Phelps and Mrs. Lori Wilbur, Senior Class Advisors, along with Amy Kane, Guidance Counselor, all worked tirelessly to plan and execute this year's commencement ceremonies.
