END OF YEAR INFO, REPORT CARDS, AND IEP PROGRESS REPORTS

This is definitely not a typical year. Our parents, students, and teachers have been working so hard to keep learning occurring remotely while school buildings have been closed. I am proud to say our school community has done a great job with student engagement during this period of remote learning.

Report cards will look a little different this marking period. Formal grades were not assessed this trimester due to the school closure. ID (insufficient data) is used in place of final Performance Level Indicators district-wide. Comments have been updated to reflect what has been completed during remote learning.

Your students will receive a comment-based report card to communicate a better snapshot of what has occurred during the period of remote learning. If your child was unable to complete assignments during remote learning, there may be a comment regarding their level of engagement. This does not mean a student has failed their grade level, but we will be checking in on them next school year to better assess their accomplishments or needs. We will also have recommendations for practice for students to do during the summer months.

Report cards and IEP progress reports will be available the morning of June 17, 2020 via your parent access portal. The portal is accessible here: https://parents.chclc.org/. If you have forgotten your password, please click the "Forgot my Password" button and enter the email address you have provided to us previously. A temporary password will be emailed to you. If you do not receive an email within 30 minutes or are experiencing another problem, please email parentaccesssupport@chclc.org and include your child's student ID number or name.

Summer Learning Adventure (Incoming K-5)

CHPS has created the WE Explore Summer Learning Adventure for all students entering grades K-5. New activities and themes will be posted each week. A sample is in this message.

Check the district website at https://www.chclc.org/summersupports on July 6th for the first week of activities.

MANDATORY SUMMER READING FOR RISING 6TH GRADE STUDENTS

Best wishes in middle school 5th graders! We will miss you here at Cooper, but you will always be a Jaguar!

To all of our Cooper Families...

Have a safe and enjoyable summer!
