Reading Reflection

One for The Murphy's
I read One for the Murphy’s by Lynda Mullaly Hunt. It is a great book about a girl named Carly that gets adopted temporarily and moves into the Murphy’s home. I like how the author conveyed to the audience that Carly was angry because she wanted her mother. I felt like since the author did that it helped show the audience her character and state of mind. I also liked how the author made Mrs. Murphy very sweet and gentle because it showed kindove where Carly came from because she is not used to people being friendly. In the book the author at first made Carly very anxious to get home, but after a while he wrote that she had formed a bond with the Murphy family and especially Mrs. Murphy. I think the most important part in the book was when Carly called Mrs. Murphy mom. I think this because it really made the book more interesting and made me very emotional. I believe that any good book will bring emotion out of someone. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good story. This book is 225 pages.
