Association for Women in Mathematics's Homework Night!
The Association for Women in Mathematics is the Temple chapter of the national organization. We support the advancement of women and girls in the field of mathematics. We host social, volunteering, and professional development events, and everyone is welcome to join, regardless of major or gender. This Wednesday, November 14th at 5 PM in Wachman 617, we will be hosting a homework night for students who want to get some work done in a relaxing and welcoming environment. We have a few math-based podcasts we hope to listen to, and we can also answer any questions you may have about AWM. Pizza will be served! HOOT + A Women's Place + GSWS Talk
Hosting Our Own Talks is collaborating with A Woman's Place and the Gender , Sexuality, and Women's Studies department to have a discussion on domestic violence, domestically and internationally. Learn Hebrew and Arabic side by side with the Alif Bet Fellowship!
Come to Alif Bet's third meeting of the semester! The Alif Bet Fellowship will be meeting this coming Thursday, November 15, from 5:30 to 6:30 on the second floor of the Hillel building located at 15th and Norris. No prior experience in Hebrew or Arabic is necessary to participate and newcomers are welcome!
Alif Bet is a student/ peer-run fellowship whose goal is to create a comfortable environment of cultural and linguistic exchange focusing on the similarities between the Hebrew and Arabic languages. We meet semi-regularly, gathering around food and exploring the linguistic heritages of Hebrew and Arabic. If you have background experience in either language, please come, but again, no experience is necessary to participate!

TUHSSA: Calling for Papers
Temple's Undergraduate History and Social Sciences Association is calling for student submissions in their semesterly research journal sponsored by the Temple University Library Press. The subjects include but are not limited to, American Studies, Art History, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Economics, English, Gender/Sexuality/Women's Studies, Geography/Urban Studies, Global Studies, History, Political Science, and Sociology. This is your chance to show off your best work and to potentially put something cool on your résumé!
