Food and Nutrition Services

We are so pleased to announce that MDUSD has been granted an area waiver that allows us to provide meals free of charge to all children under the age of 18! At this time, the waiver has been extended until the end of 2020. The primary way we receive funding to support this program is through the free/reduced cost lunch program. I would like to ask that even if you are not currently using these services that you fill out an application for the 2020-2021 school year.

These funds also provide additional funds to the school as a whole. These funds support Ayers in many ways. Currently we use these funds to pay the salary of an instructional assistant for the 4th and 5th grades as well as purchase technology for student use.

The Food and Nutrition Services department has videos to support you in the application process. In the past this form had to be filled out on paper but there is now an online version of this form and you can access it HERE!

We really appreciate everyone taking a few minutes to fill out an application, even if you have never applied in the past. Thank you!

Zoom and Google Meets

Please be sure when your students are signing into their Zoom or Google Meets they are signing on with their first and last name. Students should not be participating on a phone. If you need to borrow a Chromebook, please contact our office.

The daily live interaction time is a great time for your students to be engaged with their teacher and for you to be there if they need support, but also let them be engaged as they would be in school.
