PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Vikings!
I know we are all surprised by how fast September has flown by! We have had a fantastic month here…it’s been busy, but the progress students have made in just a few short weeks has been amazing! By now, everyone is settling into their new classrooms, new routines, and getting down to the business of learning. This year has so much in store, and we are excited to promote student growth.
Finally, don't forget to check out the upcoming events and dates below. This Friday will be our BOO Bash and the PTO has another great event planned for our students and families. I look forward to seeing many families Friday night!

September and October Students of the Month
A MESSAGE FROM NURSE KLINE
Kindergarten Parents/Guardians: Please remember that Physical exams and Dental exams are required for students entering a Public School in the first year they begin attending school. Those exams are due to me by December 20, 2019 unless you indicated you wanted the exams completed by the school physician/dentist.
3rd Grade Parents/Guardians: Please remember 3rd grade students are required to submit a Dental exam by December 20, 2019 unless you indicated you want the exam done by the school dentist.
ALL Parents/Guardians: Please remember if weather permits (real feel temperature is above 20 degrees) students are outside for recess and they should have weather appropriate outerwear ex. hats, gloves, and coats. It is also important that they have adequate footwear; heeled, backless, or flip flops are not appropriate for playing outside at recess and can cause injuries. Thank you for helping us keep your students safe.

Mrs. Herman's Guidance Class
This past month in Guidance Class students learned about the role of the school guidance counselor, respect, and developing school readiness skills. October will focus on responsibility, making healthy choices, and identify and coping with feelings. October 21st – 25th is Red Ribbon Week. Students are encouraged to participate in our spirit week and celebrate being drug free.
As we approach our 5th week of lessons classes are working towards earning their 5th shine point, meaning, their next Guidance Class will be a reward day. Reward days will consist of a choice of playing a game, watching an educational video, and/or coloring a picture.

If you do not have a car tag visible at 3:20 dismissal, you will be asked to park and sign your child out in the office. NO exceptions will be made.
