Hazel Green Fine Arts Shine Bright!

Big image

The Hazel Green Fine Arts program never disappoints! The students put on a fantastic program last night. Thanks to Mrs. Morrison, Mrs. Flynn, Mr. Harper and Ms. Abercrombie for their hard work and dedication in developing our young talent. The results are amazing!

Today, all students will have the opportunity to enjoy the art, music and drama at Fine Arts Day. HGHS administrators recognize the importance of art in education! Did you know that...

  • Students who study art are 4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement and 3 times more likely to be awarded for school attendance.
  • Sustained learning in music and theater correlates strongly with higher achievement in both math and reading.
  • Art studies and activities help keep high-risk dropout students stay in school.
  • Music improves skills in math and reading and promotes creativity, social development, personality adjustment, and self-worth.

Trial of the Trojan 5K Today!

Please join us this evening for the Trial of the Trojan. This fun run 5k is open to all and free of charge. Race gun will fire promptly at 6:00pm near the soccer fields.
