Hi Team Grissom,
"It's the little conversations that build the relationships and make an impact on each student." - Robert John Meehan
I hope everyone had an enjoyable four-day weekend. It's hard to believe that we are only 3 weeks away from the end of the third nine weeks. Please see the details below for this week.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15th
** Weather Day, No School
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16th
** WorkKeys Assessment for all Seniors
- Homeroom will be FIRST.
- DO NOT release from homeroom, until you are informed over the intercom
- Seniors will report to their designated testing room, all other students will report to 1st period.
- DO NOT release from testing/1st period until you are informed over the intercom.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17th
**We will be hosting approximately 35 - 40 out of town guests who are interested in seeing the Digital 1:1 Initiative in action. The majority of our guests are from school districts in Tennessee, Mississippi and Georgia. The main objective for their visit is to learn about the Digital 1:1 curriculum and to see it demonstrated in classrooms at all grade levels and subjects.
Please plan a lesson that incorporates effective, engaging use of technology. The guests will be divided into groups who will tour the building and visit classrooms.
**Faculty meeting @ 3:20
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 18th
**Make-up faculty meeting @ 7:15 in the AV room
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19th
**Approve Kronos
IMPORTANT REMINDERS/"TO-DOs":
1. Observe another teacher in your grade level. You will bring the observation form to
the faculty meeting next week (2/24).
2. Complete student conferences for all students who failed your class first semester.
You will bring all student conference forms to the faculty meeting next week (2/24).
Note: You should also have a follow-up conference to discuss their progress at the
middle of the 3rd nine weeks.
I want to again thank you all for your diligence in being visible in the hallways, as well as, following the hall pass procedures. I know it's difficult and may seem like such a small task, but it has a tremendous effect on the culture of our school. Thank you!
"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." - Robert Collier
Have a great week of teaching and learning :)
