SMS Weekly Update
Count Day is Coming Up!
I hope this message finds you well. As we approach Count Day at our school, I wanted to take a moment to emphasize the critical importance of your child's regular attendance, not only on Count Day but every day throughout the school year.
Count Day, as you may know, is a crucial day for our school district. It is the day when our school's funding and resources are determined based on the number of students in attendance. The data collected on Count Day has a direct impact on our ability to provide the best possible education for your child and all the students in our community.
Here are some key reasons why your child's presence on Count Day and every school day matters:
Financial Support: Adequate funding is essential to maintain a high-quality educational experience. The more students we have in attendance on Count Day, the more funding we receive, enabling us to invest in resources, teachers, and programs that benefit your child's education.
Classroom Engagement: Regular attendance ensures that your child can fully engage in classroom activities, discussions, and lessons. This engagement is crucial for their academic progress and social development.
Consistency: Consistent attendance helps your child establish a routine and develop strong study habits. It also promotes a sense of responsibility and discipline that will serve them well throughout their life.
Peer Interaction: Attending school regularly allows your child to build friendships and develop important social skills. These relationships can be instrumental in their overall growth and happiness.
Preparation for the Future: Education is the foundation for your child's future success. Regular attendance helps them stay on track with their learning goals, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may occasionally lead to absences. In such cases, please make sure to notify the school as soon as possible. Additionally, if your child is ill, it is essential to prioritize their health and well-being.
Count Day is on Wednesday, October 4th. We kindly request that you ensure your child's attendance on this day, as it will greatly contribute to the continued growth and success of our school.
Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to your child's education. We look forward to working together to provide them with the best possible learning experience.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding attendance or any other aspect of your child's education, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

RAPS at Stevenson- October is focused on Accountability & Pride
This is awesome, isn't it!?! Parents, you can help to support our focus areas in our building by reinforcing these at home. Talk to them at dinner and ask them if they earned any RAPS points today and for what tasks. These are great conversation pieces and teachable moments that can be used at home in support of our school focus areas. Thanks team!
