5th grade LUNCHES on FRIDAY: CHANGE IN TIME
11:12 - 11:42 5th grade students in 5th period Math, Social Studies, and ELAR will go to lunch.

So far we have: Coconut Cream Pie, Chocolate Chip Cheesecake, and 3 Pumpkin Pies complete with whip cream.
If you are looking for a great way to recognize our staff or just say "thanks", you are welcome to contribute to our Pie Bar by dropping off a sweet treat (not just pies) to the front office between Monday and 10 a.m. Thursday. How long have you been at BBI? 18 years
Where are you from and where did you grow up? Born in Mobile, AL and grew up as a Military Brat all over the world. Mostly in the South.
What inspired you to work with children? My son's first principal, Marta Bussy. I volunteered at the school constantly and she wanted me to work for her.
What is your favorite book? Heaven is for Real
What was your favorite subject in school? Art
If you could learn to do one thing, what would it be? I would love to be proficient in multiple foreign languages.
If you could have any other career, what would it be? Dive Captain in tropical places.
Who do you consider your hero? Any military or service member that puts their lives on the line with little recognition.
People would be surprised to know… I design and create all kinds of things from wedding dresses to baby nurseries.

ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE: November 4 - December 20
Students who meet this goal (November 4 - December 20) will be invited to an attendance party on Dec. 20th with admin.
To meet the goal, students can not have more than 1 absence. Leaving early or missing any period counts as an absence.
Not only does good attendance help our campus accountability rating, but it is an essential piece of academic success for all students.
If you child must be out, please send a note with them when they return (even if it is for one or two class periods).

BBIS General Information
Early morning child care begins at 6:30 a.m. and all students must be enrolled online through the MISD website.
The first bell rings at 7:55 a.m. and the tardy bell rings at 8:00 a.m. The instructional day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:10 p.m.
