What's Happenin' in 2C!

December 2nd - December 6th

Our Week in a Minute!

November 18 22, 2013

What we are learning this week....

Math: In math, we will wrap up our subtraction unit and revisit addition with regrouping. We have also started our math focus groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Be sure to ask your 2nd grade super hero which class they visited for math!

Science: We will begin our next investigation on spinning!

Language Arts: We will spend alot of this week reviewing the last five weeks. We will look at nouns, reading strategies, cause/effect, and continue Daily 5!

Social Studies: We will identify, compare, and understand the significance of various ethnic and cultural celebrations.

GTi: Students in the GTi program, will continue working with Mrs. Malone and myself to gather research for their "I wonder..." project.

Reflex Math Update

I am so excited to see that almost ALL of our 2C students are using Reflex math at home! Reflex math helps students of all ability levels to develop fluency with their basic facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. To access the Reflex math website, you can use this link: http://www.reflexmath.com/launch?1384462169020 I have also shown the students how to get to the website from my website. As a reminder, I would LOVE to see that your child is using Reflex for 15 minutes per day.
