Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Early Life
Wolfgang was bound to be a musician from the start. He was born on January 27, 1756 in Salzburg Austria. He was a child prodigy and had a natural gift for music. At the age of 5, he composed a minuet, a piece of music in which people can dance to. From ages 7 to 10 he traveled around Europe with his sister, Maria Anna, playing for kings, emperors, and other royalty. At the young age of 9, he wrote his first symphony, which was about 30 minutes.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart grew up in Salzburg, Austria and he lived there from ages 1 to 6. He lived during the Classical Period, which was between the Baroque and Romantic periods. At the age of 7, his parents, Leopold and Anna Maria, took him and his sister on a tour of Europe to play music in many royal courts. In August of 1782, when Mozart was 26, he married Constanze Weber, and had 6 kids, but only 2 of them lived. At that time, they both lived in Vienna, Austria.

Symphony Number 1
At the early age of 8, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart created symphony #1. This first symphony lead to many other pieces, ending with symphony #41, which was also known as "Jupiter." Mozart also created many piano, violin, and horn concertos. Mozart composed over 600 musical pieces including the 41 symphonies over his life span of 35 years. He had so many music pieces that it would take over eight full days to play all of his music. Also, Mozart's last piece, "Requiem," was finished by a fellow composer, Franz Xaver Süssmayr, because Mazrt died before he could finish it.

Mozart's Legacy
Mozart has encouraged many young kids to start music at a young age. Everyone will remember his music and the period of time he made it. His most famous piece, symphony #41 (Jupiter) was the most complex and had reoccurring themes which were very popular at the time. At the young age of 9, he created his first symphony, which became very famous. He created over 600 pieces of music in which he put lots of hard work and all his skill into. He will never be forgotten.
