Fall Update - Edition 1 - July 7, 2020
July 7, 2020
Hello Nighthawk Nation,
As I enjoyed watching the July 4 Fireworks with my family and the music of Lee Greenwood’s Proud to be an American played in the background, I couldn’t help but reflect upon the pride I have for being a member of Nighthawk Nation. Each day, I am filled with gratitude when working with such an outstanding group of students, staff, and parents. The first six months of 2020 have been challenging, but we still have time to write the rest of the story. NVCS staff is determined to make the education and safety of your children our top priority as we head into the 2020-21 school year. While we may face uncertainty in these difficult times, NVCS will continue to provide a quality education for all of our students regardless of the delivery model.
As of now, we plan to start the school year on time and with our students attending face to face instruction five full days a week. Factors outside of our control could change this plan, but our goal is to get students back into the classroom. We are working with the Larimer County Health Department to make sure student and staff safety remain a priority as we open our doors. We will provide all of you with more information on scheduling details as we get a little closer to the first day of school.
NVCS will also be offering a robust online education program for families that would like to take advantage of that option. The deadline for choosing the online delivery option will not be until early August. Please contact your school’s principal for more information if you have additional questions.
