**Please do NOT be pack soda or candy in your child's lunch.
On the HSE Website, under Food Services tab, there is a link to Meal Viewer for all schools. If you need guidance on what allergens are in each menu item, this is a great resource!
Click here to access the HRE Meal Viewer.
Simply, click on HRE Meal Viewer, using the three lines in the top right corner, select any allergen you are concerned about and Meal Viewer will cross out the menu items that contain the allergen selected. No need to set up an account when accessing Meal Viewer from the Home Page Food Service Tab.
Exciting news from your Cafeteria!

A Message from the Clinic
Please remember to send your student to school healthy. If a student is ill and has any of the symptoms of Covid listed below, we encourage you to get your student tested using a PCR test, which is available via Fishers Health Department (COVID Vaccine | Fishers, IN - Official Website) or the Indiana Department of Health (ISDH - Novel Coronavirus: COVID-19 Testing Information). PCR tests are the most accurate and provide less risk of a false positive or negative result. A visit to your physician is also suggested if you feel this is not Covid-related, then a doctor's note would be needed for your student to return to school. Please do not send your child to school ill or while waiting for Covid test results.
Symptoms to monitor for:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of Breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore Throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
Picture Retake Day
We have scheduled picture retakes for
Wednesday, October 27th.
Preschool: 8:00am - 9:00am
If your child doesn't attend preschool on Wednesday morning, you are encouraged to bring your student to have their picture retakes from 8:00 - 9:00am (our preschool teachers will bring their Wednesday morning classes to the photographers to have retakes taken of those that need them). All of our preschool students will be in our school's yearbook, so it is important that they all have their picture taken even if you don't want to place an order.
KG - 4th starting around 8:00am
All Kg - 4th graders that are new to HRE or were absent on picture day will have their picture taken. If your child had their picture taken, but you would like to have them redone, please send the portrait package or proof with them on retake day to give to the photographer.
Please note that our photographers will only be here for a short time in the morning as we are not having the entire school photographed. If your child needs their picture taken, please be sure they are at school in the morning on the 27th. In order to have your child's picture in the yearbook, it is important that they have their picture taken and Wednesday is the only scheduled retake day.
BOOK RENTAL AND IPAD FEES
Your child's book and IPad rental fees were due October 1st. Please pay your child's fees via EFunds or by sending in a check made out to Hoosier Road Elementary. Panorama Parent Webinar
In the spring of 2019, HSE Schools began using the Panorama survey to better understand students' experience in our schools. This survey helps HSE teachers, administrators and counselors gauge student growth and understanding around social and emotional competencies, which contribute to academic success and increase engagement in the classroom.
The district hosted a Parent Night Webinar to share information and answer common questions about the Panorama survey. The webinar was held on October 12th at 7:30PM. The event was recorded and posted to the HSE Schools website. If you would like to learn more about how social-emotional learning can help your student better manage emotion, achieve positive goals, and experience increased success in the classroom, please visit: HSE Schools – What is Social Emotional Learning?
