Fall Is Here!
Dear South Side Families,
Happy Fall! It's here, believe it or not, ready or not. We can no longer say that we are beginning a new school year. Please continue to discuss the importance of education with your student at home. Here at school we often remind students that the path to the life that they want is made easier with a solid educational foundation. Students need to be reminded that working hard is a big factor in determining their success. I look forward to seeing all of you during our parent/teacher conferences next Thursday, September 28. If you would like to make an appointment to meet with me for any reason during that afternoon please call the school office or shoot me an email.
Sincerely,
Jeff Harper
Principal

College Go! Week Information
South Side Students and Parents:
The week of September 25th is College Go Week across Indiana. During this week, schools across Indiana want to spread the message that it is important to further your education beyond high school, whether that be a traditional 4-year college, a junior college, certificate programs, vocational training, military, or apprenticeships. During this week, your student will be bringing home a magazine called “Learn More Indiana”. It is full of valuable information for students and parents. Please take time to look at the magazine and do some of the grade level appropriate activities with your student. More information can also be accessed at www.learnmoreindiana.org.
North Side and South Side Elementary Schools will celebrate by encouraging staff and students to wear their favorite college attire on Friday, September 29th. Let’s see how much college spirit we have!!!!
