A Note From the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Second grade students will be taking the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) during the window of February 5-9, 2024. This is an Ohio-required whole-grade test that screens all students for potential gifted identification in Superior Cognitive Ability and Creative Thinking Ability, and it also provides information about students' strengths. Following the screening, individual student results will be sent home with your child. If you have any questions or concerns about this assessment, please contact megan.kinney@chardonschools.org.
Thank you,
Mathew Prezioso
Principal, Munson Elementary
Mr. Prez's Pic of the Week
It's always a fun time at recess, even when it's cold!
Infinite Campus Annual Update
The Annual Update must be completed by ALL Chardon Local Schools households every year, for every student, even if there are no changes. This ensures that you have created your Parent Portal Account so that we have the most accurate information for your student and household. This helps us to contact you promptly in case of an emergency, allows you to pay for student meals and school fees online, and gives you access to important forms and documents, including report cards. We need your updated information as soon as possible! Please find Annual Update instructions HERE.
Shout out to Mrs. Sobodosh, Mr. Buemi, and Mrs. McClintock's classes for completing ALL of their Annual Updates! Mrs. Suszynski, Mrs. Woodrow, and Mrs. Burress's classes each have only ONE left to complete! Mrs. Hardman/Mrs. Reinhard (2 left) is close behind, followed by Mrs. Turk and Mrs. Ferguson with 3, Mrs. Dinko and Mrs. Bates/Miss Gillespie with 4, and Mrs. Elliott with 9.
If you are not sure if your Annual Update has been completed, check in with the office. Thank you!
