LIbrary News
This month, the computer classes have been using Google Earth to learn about our city, state and country. It's important that children understand where they live in the world. Take time to review with your kid the name of their town, their state and their nation.

1. Participate in your child’s education by: attending school events, talking about your child’s homework with him or her, showing how school work is related to daily life, making an appointment to visit the classroom or volunteer, and joining the PTO or the Title I Parent Advisory Council.
2. Be aware of your child’s performance by: attending parent teacher conferences, requesting additional meetings if needed, keeping teachers informed about events and issues that may affect your child’s work and behavior.

District Assessments
Starting this year, your student will be taking a reading and math assessment called iReady. We’ll be using this assessment to monitor your student’s academic growth.
During our fall parent-teacher conferences, we’ll provide more information, including your student’s scores from the first part of the quarter. We’ll share additional academic growth as your student progresses through the year. This interactive monitoring tool will help us give your student more individualized learning.
Parent Teacher Conferences
We strive for 100% attendance for conferences. We understand work hours may make our times a conflict. If that is the case, please let your teacher know and we will work with you to fulfill your conference.
