Welcome Back Dorothy Nolan!
September Principal's Message
I hope you are as excited as I to begin another great year at Dorothy Nolan Elementary School!
Within the next several days, we will open our school doors to welcome you to the start of a new school year. Teachers and staff have been busy getting ready! Teachers participated in curriculum writing, taught and attended professional development workshops, and prepared for the launch of our school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support Systems (PBIS). Our office and custodial staff have been hard at work to ensure that the building is clean and ready to go on opening day, which will be on September 9, 2015. We are ready and excited to greet you all!
I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new staff joining us this fall:
- Miss Courtney Jablonski (Assistant Principal)
- Miss Ehmann (Grade 2 LOA)
- Mr. Cuthbertson (PE)
- Mrs. Erhardt-Pelella (Traveling Art Teacher)
- Mr. Taylor (Traveling Art Teacher)
- Mr. Kleinfelder (Head Custodian)
- Mr. Travis Jr. (2nd Shift Custodian)
School doors open daily at 9:10 a.m. Dismissal begins at 3:17 p.m. for students being picked up in our rider loop, 3:19 p.m. for walkers and YMCA students, and 3:25 p.m. for students riding the bus. Please review your dismissal plans: the name of your bus and who will be at the bus stop when your child arrives home. Be sure to review our Rider Loop procedures that are posted on our website if you plan to drop off or pick up your child.
The start of a new school year brings anticipation, excitement and joy to the entire Dorothy Nolan community as students and teachers reunite. It is truly one of my favorite times of the year.
Thank you for your continued support. Should you have any questions before the start of school, please call our main office at (584-7383). Enjoy the remaining days of summer before a fantastic school year begins.
Reading at Gavin Park
