- October 26th Registration Link -- 1pm-2:30pm
- Presented by Neisha C. Himes, Domestic Violence Awareness & Education Consultant
- Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) impacts victims of all ethnicities, genders, and socio-economic backgrounds. However, the impact against women– particularly those of ethnic and diverse populations– is disproportionately higher. It is vital that we, as a society, can identify the signs of domestic violence and the unique challenges victims of various demographics face when fleeing abuse. By using a trauma-informed and community-based approach, this presentation will provide education, best practices, and innovative initiatives, via personal survivor testimony, group interaction, relative data, and dialogue.
