"The Scarlet Ibis"

Tone- The writer's attitude towards his/her readers or subject.
"I did not know then that PRIDE is a WONDERFUL, TERRIBLE thing, a seed that bears two vines". This quote shows the author's regret he feels towards what happened and how he would do things differently.
Symbolism- Anything that stands for something else.
An example of symbolism in the short story "The Scarlet Ibis" is when the brother's little brother Doodle dies and brother says "For a long time, it seemed forever, I lay there crying, sheltering my fallen SCARLET IBIS from the heresy of the rain". The narrator used the Fallen Scarlet Ibis to symbolize Doodle when he died.
Imagery- A word or phase that appeals to one or more of the five senses sight, hearing, touch, taste, or smell.
"House a gleaming white, and the pale fence across the yard...". The author uses this to help the reader imagine where Doodle and brother lived.
How and why Doodle died at end?
Doodle died because of exhaustion. Brother pushed him all day and then he was running from the storm and it was just to much for his sickly body.
Tech
I think the tech was okay but I don't like the way I have to upload pictures.
