News You Can Use....
Monday PD: Please use the time on Monday to plan as needed with your horizontal team.
Tutoring: Tutoring starts Tuesday. Please make sure you have your documents ready for submission to Ms. Lancaster. Tutoring will take place from 3:25 p.m. - 4:25 p.m. Note: Although STAAR prep materials are used at times during tutoring, they may not be appropriate for some student who still need interventions. Please make sure your students are being provided with the instruction and interventions necessary to be successful! Thank you!
CORE BELIEFS IN ACTION
Attendance: 46% of the entire staff had perfect attendance the first six weeks and many others were close. I understand emergencies arise and days will be missed, but do recognize the attention that has been given to improving attendance this year. Thank you for leaving "sub plans" or "sub folders" when you are absent. Substitutes do share with me how much they appreciate this and how they are more willing to fill in for those who do take the time to prepare activities and materials that are appropriate and easy to follow in your absence.

Optional PD Session This Thursday
When: Thursday, Oct. 23rd after dismissal
Where: Library
Last Wednesday during my principal's meeting with Mr. Miles, he provided us with some good information around LOs and DOLs that may clear up some confusion around writing, alignment, and implementation. I would love to share that information with those who feel they still have some questions or would like to hear more. This session will be completely OPTIONAL. Come if you can! There will be a jean pass given to those who attend. Door prizes will also be given. This is not a bribe, I simply want you to know I appreciate the extra time you will give up to be there. If you cannot attend, please let me know if you would like to meet at another date to discuss. I will e-mail the documents to the entire staff. Thank you!
