Physical Description

  • A mountain lion has a elongated body with long legs.small head ,small rounded ears and excellent night vision.
  • The tip of it's tail is usually black.
  • Adult males commonly weigh 110 to 150 pounds.
  • It can be silvery gray to reddish or brownish yellow
  • A fully grown mountain lion may measure 5 feet
  • their tail can be 3 feet long.

  • Bighorn sheep
  • Elk
  • Rabbits
  • Wild hogs


  • They live in mountains, forests, deserts and jungles.
  • They also live in the Southern British Columbia.
  • Some live in the United States.

Their Young

  • Young mountain lions have spots on their fur.
  • The young will remain with the mother from 1 1/2 - 2 years.
  • Females have two to four kittens.
