SMCS Superintendent Search Update

The search for the next SMCS superintendent is underway. The SMCS Board of Trustees Executive Committee is working closely with current SMCS superintendent Dr. Tim Schigur to ensure a smooth transition. The Board has full confidence in SMCS senior leadership, staff, teachers and other stakeholders to continue the smooth operation and positive momentum of SMCS until a new superintendent is named, with Trustee Lori Vegso serving as administrative head of SMCS during the interim.

Numerous superintendent applications have been received and reviewed, and the interview process has begun for a select number of qualified candidates. More information regarding the Board's efforts to name a new superintendent will likely be available during the coming weeks.

Updated CDC Guidelines for School/Day Care

The CDC has updated their parent resources for schools and day cares:

* Daily COVID-19 Health Screening Checklist

* When a student can return to school or child care

SMCS has a COVID-19 screener to be the main contact for SMCS parents to report symptoms, and to act as liaison with the City of Menasha and Winnebago County Health Departments to report and track cases. Our COVID-19 screener will work closely with administrative assistants and principals to accurately record attendance, tracking of cases and return to school for students.

  • Please call your school office with any absences.
  • Please call 920-716-7139 or email studentsafety@smcatholicschools.org to report symptoms, concerns, positive cases, exposures, etc.
