Dear Parents,
It seems like the fall weather is here to stay! Please remind your children to bring sweatshirts and jackets and dress appropriately for recess and outdoor mask and snack breaks.
Picture Retake Day: If your child missed picture day or would like a retake, our Rose picture retake day will be on October 27, 2021. More information will be forthcoming as the date gets closer.
Athletic Shoe Recycling: We’re happy to support former Rose student Sahil, brother of 1st grader Sasha, who is organizing the athletic shoe recycling at Rose. Clean out your old or worn out athletic shoes and recycle them in the box in the Rose front foyer. Get a chance to win Chicago Bulls or Windy City Bulls prizes.
Shout Outs:
Congratulations to Miss Geraldi’s class and Mrs. McKee’s class for receiving 10 golden stingrays for demonstrating our Champs behaviors of respect, responsibility and safety. They are the first classes to be presented with a flag and will get to celebrate with popsicles and a playground party. We look forward to more classes getting 10 golden stingrays.
Ayla L. in Mrs. Nowakowski's 4th grade class just passed her purple advanced belt test in Tae Kwon Do. She is just a few belts away from Black Belt. Way to go, Ayla!
On Wednesday, October 13th and Thursday, October 14th, teachers will host conferences for parents that sign up for a conference slot. Meet the Teacher is currently open for parents to sign up. Teachers will send out the Zoom link to parents that choose to meet on Zoom. For parents that elect to come to school for conferences, please note the following:
All visitors must wear a mask while in the building that covers the nose and mouth. The mask must be worn for the duration of the conference.
All visitors must wait outside until their appointment time to allow teachers time to rotate spaces and sanitize. Please do not arrive more than five minutes early for your appointment. Conferences will be in the teacher’s classroom.
Student News: Please email me exciting news about your Stingray! We love to celebrate the accomplishments and success of our students and want to give them a shout out in our school news. My email is hschumacher@barrington220.org.
Have a wonderful week!
Regards,
Heather Schumacher
