Navigation Notes

Happy November Westside Families! Thank you again to all the families who helped their child celebrate Red Ribbon Week and being drug-free! We had so much fun focusing on healthy bodies and saying NO! Check out our Facebook page for all the photos! **Please be sure to check lunch boxes and backpacks for stowaway candies this week! Our staff thanks you in advance! :)**

Please Support Westside’s Positive Culture

When students are demonstrating one of our expectations, they earn Compass Cash. Students can then redeem Compass Cash for incentives in their classroom, school wide events, and our Explorer Exchange. To help keep this program running, we are asking for help through donations from our families, business partners, and community leaders. Please visit our Amazon Wish List using the website link below to make a purchase and support the great things happening at Westside! Thank you to the Goldens Family for our first donation to arrive at school!

Westside Elites Running Club is hosting a "Bring you Parent to Running Club" Event on Monday, November 15th from 2:30p-4:00p. Mr. Toenjes will be sending home RSVP forms with each runner. Please return those by November 8th. If you have questions, please email Mr. T. at We look forward to seeing you!

The School Board has extended the mask requirement through the end of November for all PK-6 students. However, families have the option to complete a Parent Opt-Out form for masks. If you would like to utilize this option, please find the form at the bottom of this newsletter, complete, and send in with your child.

Last, the weather is starting to cool down, so be sure to dress your child in appropriate clothing as the temperatures drop. Layers are the key as the mornings tend to be chilly, but it warms up quickly! We HIGHLY recommend putting your child's first and last name on the tags of all jackets as they often end up in our Lost & Found.
