Shockley's September Happenings
We had a lot of fun in September!
What we have done
Classroom Show and Tell
We all brought 3 items that we really liked to share with our classmates.
Science Projects
We completed a Science Project entitled "Will Soda Clean Dirty Pennies?"
International Dot Day
We celebrated International Dot Day in the library by reading the book The Dot, and creating our own dot art on the IPADS
IPAD DAY
Every Friday we invite 4 6th grade students to our room to help us work with the IPADS
Getting Ready For Fall
We made pretty fall trees out of construction paper in the library.
Non Fiction Book Reports
We worked for an entire week on a book report on a self selected non-fiction book. The students used voice output devices to present their reports to the librarian.
Band Class with 6th Grade
2-3 times a week we join Mrs. Davis' band class. We take drums and musical instruments and play along with the band. We also work on our best manners and staying quiet during class time.
6th Grade Readers
Every day we have 6th graders come to read in our classroom.
Calendar Time and Devices
We participate in calendar time daily. During this time we use an IPAD and various voice output devices to learn about the date and our weather. We also use these to count how many days we have been in school.
