It is important that your child is here, well rested, and well fed on the above dates. We know our students and teachers have worked hard this year to learn the skills necessary to be college and career ready.
Attention 6th Grade Parents
Washington County Arts Council Competition
Recently our students entered an arts competition sponsored by the Washington County Arts Council. Congratulations to Sonora Kershner, who won first place, for her Blues Fest digital poster design (pictured below)
Several of our students' work will be on display at the Washington County Arts Council from June 1st through June 26th, 2018. An opening exhibit reception will be held at the WCAC Gallery on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 4pm – 7pm.
7th Grade Field Trip
The 7th grade will be visiting the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore on Monday, May 21st. Permission slips and $6.00 are due no later than Friday, May 4th. To attend students may not receive an office referral from April 16th to the day of the trip. Chaperones must submit a Volunteer Application and Information form and submit a copy of their photo ID. Leo Club is holding a drive for the Washington County Humane Society.
Items needed are:
· Purina Cat and Kitten Chow
· Pellet/Clay cat litter
· Cat toys
· Cardboard scratching posts
· Purina One dog food
· Dog collars
· Soft dog treats
· Stuffed animals
· Squeaky Toys
· Paper towels
· Hand sanitizer
· Wash cloths/hand towels
· Timothy hay
Students can drop their donations in Ms. Markle’s room until May 2nd!
