Tied with Love
“Tied with Love”
Dear Parents,
Fifth grade will be creating a care package titled “Tied with Love” to deliver to Catholic Charities on December 16th.
Here is what we’ve come up with:
· We would like them to make fleece tie blankets. Two color coordinated pieces of fleece, each 3 ½ yards long, will be needed.
· Each student will make a Christmas card to put on the care package.
Here is how this will work:
The students will be working in pairs (of their choosing) to assemble the blanket.
Either one person from the pair will donate the fleece, or the students may split the cost of donating of the fleece. I am letting them work this out amongst themselves.
On December 2nd and 9th, we have reserved the gym where the two fifth grade classes will gather and assemble the blankets. They will be bundled together with two Christmas cards.
The fleece fabric needs to be brought into school by November 30th.
5th grade thanks you for supporting us and your children’s desire to give back to the community.
