KMS Up2Date

Principal's Message
I hope that everyone had a good week. This week's update has a little something for everyone.
I have been asked by the commissioner of education to remind everyone about being safe during the Halloween weekend and to avoid parties and gathering. In this week's update you will see flyers for upcoming community events for Halloween that you and your family may wish to join.
In addition to the pumpkin carving contest we are sponsoring, we would like to acknowledge the change of seasons with a Harvest Day and ask that students dress as scarecrows if they choose. This will take place on Wednesday, October 28 for students in group A and Friday, October 30 for students in Group B.
Please see the special announcement below from the KMS Music Department regarding an after school opportunity.
KMS will be offering after school support in math for students who need ramp up. Please watch for more information.
And lastly, Monday, October 26, is a school day for those students in Group B.
Have a great weekend,
Dennis Morrell

Bring Your Buds!
Many teachers have brought to our attention that students using headphones in class can greatly enhance the learning experience of Google Meets or other online work. We strongly encourage all students to bring a pair of earbuds to school for in-person classes.

Traveling Teachers
Reopening guidelines have shifted many of our traditional rituals and routines. Our teachers are hard at work balancing all of the many shifts. We have witnessed lots of out of the box thinking like our traveling teacher carts.
Our teacher here at KMS go the extra mile to give students authentic learning experiences.
