Dance Fridays
Dance Friday has become an essential part of the teachers at Southside Elementary School's week. They meet after dismissal and chose a dance/song to do. They practice a few times and then record. They are hoping to share some positivity and smiles, and it has also brought them together and built a friendship.

Hornet Heroes
Tyrese is an 11th grader at Yulee High School. He is a Hornet Hero because he always has a positive attitude no matter what. He always gives his best effort in his classes, and it shows.

National Principals Month
October is National Principals Month. On Tuesday, principals were surprised with treats and appreciation for all of their hard work!

AR Night
Wildlight Elementary hosted AR night for the first nine weeks. They opened the doors to families to help students earn their points at the end of the nine weeks in Accelerated Reader. Students enjoyed family time, books, and a yummy dinner from the Grab and Grub Nassau County Nutrition Food Truck. Over 60 students and their families came out to earn points and have dinner.

Little Warriors Gardening
Mrs. Cato's class at Callahan Elementary School has grown a garden of lettuce, tomatoes, and arugula. The students have been helping with planting, watering, and weeding the garden area. Then, Mrs. Cato's class had a taste test day. The Callahan Elementary staff will be in for a treat as the veggies are ready!!

Cooking Up Multiplication
Mrs. Espersen’s third grade class at Callahan Intermediate School spent their math small group “cooking” up some multiplication.

Constitution Week Learning
Students in Ms. Licausi and Ms. Brewis's Classes at Emma Love Hardee worked on different activities to celebrate and learn about the Constitution.
In celebration of Constitution Week and the end of a month-long unit on government leaders, Mrs. Lesoine's Access Points class at Fernandina Beach Middle School had a special lunch. They invited Dr. Crawford and Mr. Goodwin to join them. The lunch featured Democracy Stew, which the students helped make, using math skills such as measuring and doubling, and tripling ingredients. They also worked on social and life skills such as making a grocery list, setting the table, table manners, greeting visitors, and writing invitations.

Contraction Surgery
The 2nd-grade students at Wildlight Elementary got to put their doctor hats on to conduct surgery on their contraction patients. The students had to look at the two words, determine which letters needed to be dropped, and correctly add an apostrophe.

Glow Centers
Students from Mrs. Whicker and Mrs. Page's class at Emma Love Hardee Got to participate in glow centers from meeting challenges during the annual fun run.

Appreciating Warriors
Officer Fred Caldwell at Callahan Intermediate was shown appreciation for his bravery and calm demeanor during the school lockdown. The faculty, staff, parents, and students of Callahan Intermediate are beyond thankful for his protection.
