Nation total wealth more then doubled between the years 1920-1929.
Political (Bad)
On January 16th, 1920, the federal volstead act closed every tavern, bar and saloon in the united states.
Economic (Good)
Not only was american culture 'Roaring' in terms of style and social trends, but the economy was 'Roaring' as well
Economic (Bad)
With the crash inflation increased by a large margin
Cultural (good)
The 19th amendment was passed in the 1920's, giving the woman the right to vote.
Cultural (bad)
Newspapers followed the hunt for bootleggers, or liquor smuggles, but government officials estimated that in 1925 they caught only 5% of all the illegal liquor entering the country.
Social (Good)
The change was most clear in the cities where there was a greater concentration of diverse groups of people.
Social (Bad)
Segregation was also a very big deal at the time. African Americans and other immigrants were still being discriminated.
