YCC Student Spotlight
Senior Kaylee Roberts is the SWHS representative for YCC September Student Spotlight. Kaylee has taken PLTW or ATC biomedical classes all fours year of high school. She is enrolled in both Medical Interventions and Biomedical Innovations this year as well as Pharmacy Tech and Allied Health classes at the ATC. Additionally, this top-notch student has taken several AP courses and is pursuing dual-credit coursework. She is ranked near the top of her class.
When asked about her YCC program/pathway, Kaylee stated, "I want to be in the medical field when I get older. This pathway helped me by introducing new techniques about the sciences, which prepares me for the future." She has truly soaked up every opportunity to take coursework that will enable her to excel in the medical field.
Kaylee is involved in a variety of activities at SWHS, including Student Council, YCC Leadership, HOSA, FFA, and the golf team. She is very dedicated and committed to both academic and extracurricular pursuits. Furthermore, she is employed at Amon's Bakery. She has learned well how to be responsible, to fulfill commitments, and to communicate well with others.
Upon graduation, Kaylee plans to obtain a four-year college degree and then to complete graduate school in a pharmaceutical program. We anticipate this SWHS YCC student will shine in her post-secondary pursuits.
