Celebrate Education Week

Celebrate Education Week is an opportunity to visit your child(ren)'s classroom(s) and watch your children in action as they learn something new, participate in a curricular activity, demonstrate their skills in a specific concept, etc. This year, we invite you to join us the week of November 18th through November 22nd. Specific dates and times are listed in our "Upcoming Events" section of this newsletter and will also be communicated directly by your child(ren)'s classroom teacher. Please make sure that when you visit Titus, you bring your ID so we can swipe you in to the building. You may want to allow yourself a few extra minutes to be checked in at the main office as we will have many parents visiting us each day.

We look forward to seeing you!

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration begins on November 19! Families of new students who are eligible to enroll in kindergarten in the 2020-2021 school year are invited to begin the registration process. Get the details on eligibility, what documents to gather, and how to navigate the online registration process at www.cbsd.org/registration. We look forward to welcoming the class of 2032!

Walker and Bike Dismissal Reminder

Parents of our walkers and bike riders who leave through our dining room are reminded that they should not be driving and parking by the cafeteria doors. We have many staff members who park in this area for After Care and it may cause a dangerous situation for our walkers and bike riders who are leaving at the end of the day.

We appreciate your help in keeping our Titus children safe. If you need to pick up your child(ren) as a car rider, please use the car line in the back of the building and send communication to your child's teacher. Please do not pick up your child as a car rider by the cafeteria doors.

Dismissal Reminders

If it is necessary to change your normal pick-up routine at the end of the day, i.e., a different adult, bus rather than car, car rather than bus, a change in child care arrangements, etc., a written note must be presented to the classroom teacher, who will share the information with the office.

Any phone calls regarding a change in end-of-day plans must be directed to the office before 2:45 PM through phone (267-893-4500, dial zero for the office) or via e-mail (mdaily@cbsd.org and rglasgow@cbsd.org) and not directly to the classroom teacher, as we cannot guarantee the teachers will be able to check their messages during the instructional day. It is extremely important that all changes in dismissal are provided to the main office prior to 2:45 PM in order to prepare all of our children for dismissal. Only emergency changes should be called into the office after 2:45 PM.
