New website
Whether you have kids in high school or a student who just started pre-k, GCISD is a great district to be in. With so many unique student experiences offered, and the sound foundation of LEAD 2021, GCISD is creating an innovative environment where students are inspired, encouraged and supported.
GCISD has been looking to better serve and connect with parents, staff and community members and has migrated to a new website. Not only is there a fresh look and feel, but the simplicity of the site allows campuses to better communicate the incredible stories happening in schools to current and prospective parents and community members. This mobile-friendly site also features news scrolls and quick links to help you see the latest information and navigate quickly to items you need.
Take a look at the calendar on the home page, read our news and events and get to know our school in a whole new way. http://www.gcisd.net/schools

New district policy about changed plans for students
if someone other than an emergency contact will be picking up a student, then the parent must send a note in writing to Tracey Stone at traceyann.stone@gcisd.net or Mrs. Towery at jennifer.towery@gcisd.net notifying us of who the child is going home with every time there is a change to routine. This includes last-minute changes as well. Email requests will suffice as written notification.
If a student frequently goes home with another parent, they may also request, in writing, to have that parent be added as an emergency contact.
Summer Enrichment signup
The 2018 Summer Enrichment Brochure is now up on the website.

We have a lot of Glenhope teachers teaching Summer Enrichment: Miss Hayes, Mr. Wahpakeche, Mrs. Patton, Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Griffard, Coach Maupin and Mr. Hendrickson. Our own Mrs. Felker is the summer school principal this year!
SBRC survey
Standards-Based Report Card Parent Survey: Elementary principals, please link the attached surveys into your newsletters and/or ask your teachers to add them to their newsletters. We are trying to get a snapshot of parent feedback prior to beginning any revisions for next year.
English - Elementary Report Card Feedback
Using SBRCs have allowed many of the innovative approaches we have tried at Glenhope such as moving students flexibly between grades for math and reading. We wouldn't be able to do that without the use of SBRC.
Tuition PreK
In the 2018-2019 school year, GCISD will offer a tuition-based pre-k program at Bransford Elementary, Colleyville Elementary, O.C. Taylor Elementary, Grapevine Elementary, Heritage Elementary and Bear Creek Elementary. There will be limited availability at Timberline and Silver Lake Elementary for a blended program that includes English and Spanish (an option if you are considering Dual Language in Kindergarten).
