Bryant Trailblazers

Dear Bryant Trailblazer Families,

As the principal of Bryant Elementary School, it is an honor to serve our families and partner with each of you to ensure our students thrive as a result of our terrific teaching staff. We are all excited to have students back for the 2022-2023 school year and look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with our families.

As we begin our second school year at Bryant, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that we achieved last year. Our PTO was able to support our school and invite families to many activities and we look forward to adding to those next year. We were able to have an exciting and very well attended Heritage Night to celebrate our students and families. Our school community enjoyed building traditions and a culture on campus that focuses on serving each other.

We know each student is an individual, bringing unique talents and needs to school every day. We pride ourselves on the opportunities that we have available to help each and every Trailblazer succeed. These opportunities are included in our academic programming, which ensures that each student is challenged appropriately while building a foundation of knowledge and skills. In addition to basic core subjects, students have access to Physical Education, STEAM, Music and Art Classes. We have a library full of resources and a librarian who teaches our students how to safely access material and resources. We also have a full time School Counselor, Registered Nurse, ESL specialist and Social Emotional Coach.

This work is not easy. But Prosper Independent School District is a community of professionals. We all—teachers, administrators, school counselors, support staff and the many others working with us—are working together to create a safe, supportive, welcoming learning community where all students are treated fairly and have the opportunity to discover their purpose as they enter our wonderful school.

Families and other community members play a critical role as partners in supporting both your students at home and work in the schools. We look forward to working with you throughout the year to make important decisions that impact both your child as an individual and the school as a whole.

To stay up-to-date on what’s happening throughout the year, please watch for a message during the school year each Saturday morning at 9:00 am.

Prosper Independent School District is a wonderful learning community. I feel so privileged to be a part of it. This is a very special place, and my colleagues and I appreciate the trust that you’ve shown in us by sending your children here every day. We will do our best to ensure they have a fulfilling, happy and safe year.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at kanewman@prosper-isd.net, if you have any questions or concerns.

I am looking forward to a great school year.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Newman
