Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 - Mar 15, 2020
COVID-19 Update March 15, 2020
Hello District 103 Families,
Earlier this afternoon, Stevenson High School sent a message stating that their “E-learning” plan was being put on hold for the time being while guidance from the State of Illinois is clarified regarding “E-learning”.
“E-learning” was designed to replace “Emergency Days” during school closures due to weather or other local issues. Because the State closed the schools, they are declaring “Act of God” days, and there is no language in the law for “E-learning” during “Act of God Days”. Instead, the State of Illinois wants districts to provide "continuous learning opportunities" to students in the best way possible. Our learning plan does this.
At this time, there is no change to District 103’s continuous learning plan. We will provide continuous learning opportunities for our students that will help provide stability in their lives during this tumultuous time.
As you can imagine, the situation regarding the shutdown of schools and the guidance by the State of Illinois changes by the moment. I will keep you informed should anything change with our current plan.
On Monday you will receive information on how continuous learning opportunities will take place between your child and his/her teacher(s). Included in that communication will be a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate these rapidly changing times.
Take great care and know that we will support you!
