A Message from the Principal's Desk:
The month of March was certainly a busy one at Kingsway Regional Middle School, and the students took front and center stage in all the activities! For the first time in our school's history, our MathCounts Team won the South Jersey MathCounts competition. The team has placed favorably over the years but has just fallen short until this year. We are certainly proud of their efforts! Four hundred 8th graders attended the semi-formal on March 3rd; there were smiles throughout the building! Our 23rd annual KRMS Talent Show left the crowd in amazement. A wide array of talent was surely on display that evening, and the students put in hours of work in order to pull off a flawless show. Our Spring Instrumental Concert and our KRMS Spring Chorus Concert each left the crowd desperately wanting more as they both mixed upbeat spring tunes with classic hits.
April looks to be just as busy at KRMS as our outdoor spring intramurals take full swing https://www.krsd.org/. Additionally, our track team begins to compete in meets against other local schools in the area. The Renaissance Mid-Semester celebration is around the corner and sure to be a success. Finally, we have a staff vs. students basketball game planned next week. Please encourage your student to get involved in the action!

The atmosphere is sure to be electric!

Miscellaneous
CER Summer Camp: Please click here if you are interested in sending your child to Kingsway's summer CER camp. Children must be between the ages of 6-12.
MathCounts Champions: For the first time in Kingsway Regional Middle School's history, the MathCounts team was crowned South Jersey's Champion. Congratulations to coach,
Ed Heil and the following MathCounts members: Ryan Duffy, Mason Corey, Melanie Ortiz-Vicente, and Mohid Rasool. We are proud of you!!
Mural: A beautiful mural entitled, "You Are ALL an Important Piece of the Puzzle" was completed by our Art Club. Though the Art Club painted the mural, our DragonSPARK
club designed the piece. Both clubs should be commended for their team effort.
Assembly: Guest speaker Preston Centuolo captivated the KRMS student body during his visit on March 16th. His message of responsibility and respect left a positive, indelible impression on our students. Often times guest speakers fall short; this was certainly NOT the
case with Preston's assembly. Many students were moved to tears, and the message made many stop and reflect.
Triple G's Celebration: We will be hosting a Triple G's ("Get Good Grades") donut celebration on Wednesday, April 20th during 1st period. This celebration will be open to all students who enrolled in the program and are on target to reach their end of the year academic goals.
Middie Celebration: Students who have no discipline referrals, three or less missed supportive assessments, and who have completed five service hours will be eligible to take part in the Middie Celebration on Friday, April 29th. This celebration will take place outdoors (weather permitting) prior to the end of the school day. In order to submit hours for the Middie Celebration, students must enroll in the Renaissance Course on Schoology.

PE Volleyball Tournament: On Friday, April 1st the 7th and 8th grade PE Volleyball Champion will be crowned. The students have been learning, practicing, and competing on the volleyball court all throughout the month of March culminating in a championship match in front of the entire school. The event is sure to be entertaining; the grade level championship team will face off against the KRMS Staff in an epic showdown!
Obligations: This is a reminder that all obligations (damaged chomebook fees, lost textbook fees, unsubmitted physical paperwork...), if not rectified, will hold your student back from field trips, after school activities, and sports.
Donations: Last month the KRMS staff and students collected several boxes of soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and other toiletries which were delivered to a local women's shelter, The Eleanor Corbett House. Thank you to all who helped in this effort!
