Attention Delta Raven Students

Course Offerings at CAC and September Visit

Greetings from your School Counselor

Greetings Delta High School Students!

I will be visiting Delta on 27 September, so please feel free to book an appointment so I can help you plan your high school classes and assist you with your future plans. I am also able to meet you in person almost any day if you are visiting Fairbanks. Some examples of what I can help you with in Fairbanks:

1) Accompany you on a military recruiter appointment. (I am in the Air Force Reserve and an expert);

2) Arrange a tour an appointment with UAF or UAF Community and Technical College Admissions advisors or program representatives;

3) Arrange visits with Trade Union Apprenticeship Representatives;

4) Help you in person with all your applications for schools and employment.

Please call Julie or Heidi for an appointment at 895-2280.

Sincerely,

Ryan Tilbury

The cornerstone of UAF Community and Technical College's partnership in Delta is Partners for Progress, which includes UAF Community and Technical College, the Delta Greely School District, the Delta Mine Training Center , and Alaska Works Partnership. Partners for Progress is an educational consortium created to deliver education and job training for skilled workforce development and career advancement. This includes partnerships with Teck-Pogo and with the construction industry. One of the Partners’ most exciting ventures has been the establishment of the 9,600 square foot Delta Career Advancement Center (DCAC). Located behind the high school, DCAC houses Delta’s first “smart” classroom for two-way interactive communication, a computer lab and a career library/conference room.
